“Remember me” is a short film based on the baroque opera “Dido and Aeneas” by Henry Purcell. The story is told as a mockumentary, with the difference that the interviews are alternated with abstract scenes recorded in various parts of the city of Vienna and inspired by the Pina Bauschs Tanztheater, narrating the emotional state of the characters or the intensity of the situations. It was originally designed to be projected with live orchestral music that in turn includes a contemporary element that is the electric guitar, where the actors are the actual singers.

In the opera “Don Giovanni” we can look at the constellation of relationships and imagine the different dramatic moments as in the current Mexican society, in which violence, brutal hatred and the right of the strongest, but also passion, joy, metaphysical religious convictions, with their very lively cult of the death and the idea of romanticism, love prevails. In this society, we find images and moments that fit perfectly with Mozart’s opera. At the same time, Adriana simplifies and represents the scene with cardboard boxes of different sizes that could well symbolize the transport of drugs, poverty and the fragility of each situation.
